Spring Seabeck Retreat
Friday, May 4th through Sunday, May 6th, 2018
at Seabeck Conference Center on beautiful Hood Canal
Our theme, Gathering in Mindfulness, will be presented by Charles Morris.
Charles Morris has been a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism in the Gelugpa tradition for over 14 years. He is a student at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington in Ballard, where he has also taught Dharma and meditation to kids and adults for 10 years. He is currently enrolled in a Master’s of Mindfulness studies program at Lesley University and is working on expanding an employee mindfulness program at Microsoft, where he has worked for 17 years.
Our Children’s Program will be led by Jeannie Cziesla, an experienced mindfulness instructor.
Jeannie Cziesla is a certified youth mindfulness and yoga instructor, trained in Yoga Calm and Inner Kids curricula. She has been teaching kids in grades K-8 for six years, mostly in public school classrooms. Jeannie is passionate about incorporating brain science into teaching kids mindfulness and movement practices, and her teaching is informed by her studies in Interpersonal Neurobiology. Jeannie lives in Seattle with her husband, their two daughters, and a fuzzy husky lab mix. Her favorite thing is to be with her family on the water or in the woods.
