On the eastern coast of Mexico, tucked in an outdoor recreation area complete with beaches and dolphins and turtles and aviaries, is a trail that winds through the jungle, across streams and through caves. Nature's beauty and frailness inspired the designers to create here in Xcaret a Path of Consciousness, a trail that both reflects the beauty of the natural reserve around it and seeks to remind the visitor how important the balance of nature is for the survival of the planet. Wandering through the path, there are thoughts and reflections from writers, and poets, philosophers, and activists from around the world - morsels for musings on being and nature, written in Spanish and in English. Although I cannot transport you to the coast of Mexico but this morning, we will share with you those thoughts and reflections.
