Groups and Events for Spiritual Growth, Fun, Fellowship, and Support

Spiritual Growth

Chalice Circles, our most popular groups for adults, are groups of six to 12 people who meet for two hours twice a month to share their lives and discuss the big questions of life.  Visit or email for more information about participating in Chalice Circles. 

Our Choir sings at services twice a month and rehearses weekly on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Newcomers are welcome. Contact Choir Director Tom Burt at (206) 304-3830 or at for more information. The Writers’ Group meets Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. – noon, to share original pieces of writing with each and to offer encouragement and constructive criticism to each other. For more information, contact Debra Valpey at (206) 243-5566 or via

 Fun and Fellowship

The All-Church Retreat happens annually on a weekend in April or May in Seabeck, Washington.

Potluck Lunches happen monthly, usually at 12 noon on the second Sunday of the month.  These will resume in the fall.

The Creative Hands Group meets on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 7 p.m. to work together on sewing, knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, felting or other craft projects. For more information, contact Lynn Crow at (206) 429-2005 or via .

An Al-AnonGroup for family members and friends of people whose lives have been affected by addiction meets at the church on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The Grief Group meets first and third Mondays from 7-8:30 in the church office.
