Collage as a Spiritual Practice

In July our theme is Embracing Possibilities and the Worship Team is arranging for meaningful and fun opportunities in lieu of our regular services. For our in-person folks there will be Worshipful Workshops – informal, lay-led, participatory workshops centered on different spiritual practices. For our folks on-line, there will be facilitated Chalice Circles over zoom each week with discussion questions related to the theme of Embracing Possibilities.

On July 2, beginning at 10:30am in the Welcoming Room, our Worshipful Workshop will be “Collage as a Spiritual Practice.”

Collaging is a process-oriented, creative, and often meditative experience. The practice is to be in the moment and trust your attraction to imagery without worry about the end product. It is about allowing yourself to open to beauty, be playful, and just let the collage happen. Please bring scissors, all other materials will be provided.
