The root of the word courage is cor – the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage meant “to speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.” Courage is a heart word. Be brave. Love hard. “ –Brene Brown
Being involved in Saltwater and our community: We practice Love, We foster connection. We nurture spiritual growth. And We act for Justice! At our Feb. 11th service, some of our beloveds will share their stories of how and why they became more actively involved in church life. This service is sponsored by the Nominating Committee. Our purpose is to affirm all the service folks do and the courage it takes to try something new. We hope to inspire you to practice more loving action whether it be as an active member on the Board, the worship team, the children’s program, ushering in, greeting or helping do coffee and many other activities that can fit into your lives. Being involved is part of our ”Practicing Love” at Saltwater. What is rewarding when you are involved? As you listen .you may find yourself thinking, “Well I’ve participated in something similar”. Is it time I took that first step for more involvement? or I wonder if I could do that, especially if I had someone to mentor me? Maybe I should consider a more active role? Join us for Coffee hour and share your thoughts with the Nomination Committee.
