Reading and Reflections from Pacific Western Regional Staff and Rev. Kristen Kuriga
Live multiplatform worship in the sanctuary and over zoom!
In her poem “Gate A-4,” Arab-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye shares an account of distress, compassion and community as she is called to interpret Arabic for a fearful traveler at an airport. This service touches on the themes of the poem, and questions such as: Who are we called to care for? When do we answer the call to serve? Where might we be surprised by grace?
Theme for February: Love
Throughout the month of February we are exploring the theme of love. In our mission statement, we declare, “At Saltwater Church We Practice Love.” In the streets, we are known as the love people in the yellow shirts. And in the new proposed Article II, love is at the center of our values. What do we mean by love? Why is it central to Unitarian Universalism? Throughout the month of February we will be exploring different dimensions of love. Join us as we learn together.
In-person Worship
Join us in the Saltwater sanctuary. Our doors open at 10:15 am.
- Masking is required indoors, and we recommend wearing a high-quality mask like an N95 or KN95. Masks are available at the front doors if you do not have one.
- We continue with a reduced seating set-up in the sanctuary of 90 seats, with each row spaced by three feet.
- We no longer have a capacity limit for the sanctuary.
- Social distancing is no longer required indoors. We will have cards available for you to place on seats if you would like to continue distancing from others in the sanctuary.
People of all ages are welcome. We hope to see you in person for worship one Sunday soon!
