Lay Ministry Team

Our lay ministers provide compassionate listening to anyone in the Saltwater Church Community. They meet regularly with the minister and participate in ongoing training to grow their skills in listening and support. Our Lay Ministry Team includes Debra Valpey, Jean Spohn, and Toska Rodriguez. The will be in the sanctuary following Sunday service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month for “Coffee & Care” if you would like to drop in and take a moment to be heard by a compassionate, healing presence.

Caring Team

Our goal is to provide a ministry of hope and compassionate caring so that no member of our congregation need be alone. Our covenant to the congregation is to:

• help with specific short-term needs
• visit the ill at home or in the hospital
• support those going through a life crisis
• maintain contact with those unable to attend church due to illness or disability
• support friends and family involved in care giving
• comfort the bereaved
