Field Trip to Tahoma UU for worship

On Sunday, May 1 we are going on a worship field trip to join with Tahoma UU. As you may know, many Saltwater church members, leaders, and staff will be at the Church Retreat at Seabeck that weekend. For those who are not able to join us for retreat, we invite you to experience worship with Tahoma UU online through zoom, or in-person (reservations required). At the link below you can learn more about the worship service and access the link to the zoom room. There will be no worship watch party at Saltwater Church on May 1. We look forward to being back together for worship at the Saltwater Church zoom room and at our watch party on Sunday, May 8.

“A Quarter Turn From God,” Rev. Dr. Linda Hart

Dr. Kate Bowler has wandered through some of the most difficult life events imaginable. After several years of trying to have a baby, she succeeds, and then is diagnosed with stage IV cancer. In September of that year she was told that she’d be dead by the next June. Now more than a decade later she has an intimate relationship with the precarious nature of life. We’ll reflect on both that precarity and on the not quite true ways we try to insulate ourselves.
