We’re so glad you’re here!

Unitarian Universalists are people of all agespeople of many backgrounds, and people of many beliefs.  We are brave, curious and compassionate thinkers and doers.  We create spirituality and community beyond boundaries, working for more justice and more love in our own lives and in the world.  Our faith tradition is rooted in our Judeo-Christian heritage, and has grown to include many more sources of wisdom and inspiration.

Unitarian Universalism affirms and promotes seven Principles, grounded in the humanistic teachings of the world’s religions.  Our spirituality is unbounded, drawing from scripture and science, nature and philosophy, personal experience and ancient tradition as described in our six Sources.

Although our building is located at 25701 14th Place South, Des Moines, WA (near Saltwater State Park), our congregation exists online as well as in person, and folks often join our worship services via Zoom from across the state, across the country, and around the world. The link to join the Zoom meeting is posted on the website. Many of our groups and teams continue to meet regularly over Zoom as well.

We hope you will stay after the service for coffee hour, in person and on Zoom, where you’ll be invited to introduce yourself and join the group conversation.  And we hope you will fill out a visitor form to let us know who you are, and what you’re seeking in a faith community.

We’re a vibrant community with many opportunities for connection, and many ways to contribute to our ministries. Click here to learn about some of the ways you can connect with others at Saltwater Church beyond our Sunday Worship services and learn more about our congregation.
