Can We Be More Like Nurse Logs?

Elisabeth Maaike Geschiere, Guest Speaker

Live multiplatform worship in the sanctuary and over zoom!

Change is haaaard for most of us, including me. Leadership theorist Ronald Heifetz teaches that this is because all change begins with loss. And loss can feel like a death, however big or small. So, what might these “dead” trees of the forest that nurture so much new life have to teach us about change?

Elisabeth Maaike Geschiere, is a descendant of Dutch, Protestant Christian, working class immigrants who were mostly farmers. She is an Aspirant UU Minister and Chaplain whose sponsoring congregation is the First UU Church of Nashville. She graduated with her Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School in 2021 and completed her Chaplain Residency in Olympia, WA this past August. She hopes to be a full time healthcare chaplain in the Puget Sound region soon.

In-person Worship
Join us in the Saltwater sanctuary. Our doors open at 10:15 am.

  • We continue with a reduced seating set-up in the sanctuary of 90 seats, with each row spaced by three feet.
  • We no longer have a capacity limit for the sanctuary.
  • Social distancing is no longer required indoors. We will have cards available for you to place on seats if you would like to continue distancing from others in the sanctuary.

People of all ages are welcome. We hope to see you in person for worship one Sunday soon!
